Thank you for helping with my spelling.

All the potential, all the knowledge, all the resources and it baffles me to see it squandered. Greatfully, we are blessed with imagination and though we cannot change the past, we can denounce the inheritance of our forefathers. This will allow them to change what passes on.

We have to be careful about our approach to forefathers. No man is perfect, and certainly not the Founding Fathers of America, however, they also have a mountain of good works worth appreciating.

As with any person, you gotta take the good with the bad, accept the complicated nature of human existence.

For example, Thomas Jefferson owned slaves. Pretty bad in my book. But Jefferson was also one of the leading thinkers behind so many of the basic freedoms we all think we should have - and that, in my estimating, is worth celebrating.

I don’t think America is immune to history repeating itself. Back when slavery was around so many people thought that is the true way, and they laughed at the people who tried to invent electricity. 200 years from now what will people think of what is going on in America today? Is there anything were overlooking? I guess there’s no way of knowing none of us born here have an outside perspective. But I would like to hear what other people’s opinions of this question are.

I guess my opinion is that America is just too good to be true, and it won’t last forever. When it ends though I hope it’s not in my time!
That takes a bunch of infalible leaders, which is impossible to get, therefore history will eventually repeat itself.

Jefferson, it turns out, did a hell of a lot more than "own" slaves. But I digress. Didy, how is anyone going to break the shackles that bind America to its military-industrial complex? Isn't it tantamount to self-perpetuating national enslavement?
