May 20, 1806 – May 8, 1873 Mill was a British Philosopher, a civil servant, member of Parliament and a very influential liberal thinker of the 19th century. John Stuart Mill's journey in Philosophy started at a very young age and was heavily influence and educated by his father, James Mill, (Scottish Philosopher and Historian). Other influences include Plato, Aritstotle, Aquinas, Hobbes, Locke, Bentham. His interests were in Political philosophy, Empricism, Utilitarianism, Ethics, Inducive logic and Liberalism.
