Nietzschean here

Well, that's what I was an early adherent of...until I realized his main thing ultimate philosophy was basically wishful thinking of humanity's potential. You could most accurately call me a nihilist, but I'm also interested in discussing luck(a certain metaphysical attribute) and some other things I can't think of right off.

Anyways, I suppose I'll have to come up with something coherent to contribute, so I'unna be silent a while, methinks..

Re: Nietzchen here

Boredrightnow,
Considering the name of your thread are you wanting to discuss this man's philosophy? Now you will have to refresh my memory, what is the definition of nihilism?
William

Re: Nietzchen here

I wouldn't know how to approach the philosophy of chance with anything but math, but if you could, it would be a very interesting discussion.

Re: Nietzchen here

Although we may have different perspectives about Nietzsche's positions, I look forward to reading your posts when you are ready.

Hello, jg. I knew you would pop up. Ha. Oh and by the way boredrightnow, welcome to the forum.
I would like to discuss this man for he and I have a lot in common as to the frustration that is inherrent in diiscovering truth.

William

Re: Nietzchen here

Nietzsche intrigues me. If we do begin a discussion on him, if it is possible rather than create a discourse on what he thought philosophically, let's do it biographically as we try an piece together his life one step at a time in relations to the transistions he made and his thinking at the time of those transistions.
Thanks,
william
