de ja view

De ja vous, or is that de ja voux?

What the frick is it?

In my understanding it is time and possibly the foresight (not destiny) of eternity (consciousness) telling the viewer/participator that they are exactly where they are meant to be, that they have this overwhelming premonition is not trying to tell them the future not telling them they should be doing sdomething differently but telling them they are safe and secure in their present, and that the future only will ever bring inevitability, that what they are doing and or about to do is all right.
I get it alot so have learned how to play with it, at times proving eternity as well as disproving time. But always proving that i am exactly where i am meant to be (because i keep getting it so have changed none of it?), or at least i hope this is what it means and not just what it has come to mean for me.

What is it and what is it to you?
Better still what do you do with it when it comes upon you?

ADarkPhilosopher is on a distinguished road
Re: de ja view

I recently wrote and published a paper on déjà vu and the leading suggested explanations and causes.

It can be read online at the link below:

"Déjà vu, Consciousness, Time and English Pubs" by A Dark Philosopher - Karl L Le Marcs

Déjà Vu, Consciousness, Time & English Pubs

I am currently writing a follow-up paper for publication in January dealing with the wider spectrum of deja phenomena and including more of the leading suggested explanations from Science, Philosophy, Neurology and Spirituality, so if you would like to be involved with your own experiences, or would be interested in completing my deja questionnaire which I sent out to hundreds of people who live with deja prior to writing my original paper, then please contact me at the email address on the above paper.

Re: de ja view

That's strange I thought ide read something about this before.

Never had one, this is completely alien to me. Is there a common idea on its cause?

Re: de ja view

Well, I will definitely read ADarkPhilosopher's paper when I get in. Sadly, I am at work and we don't have updated Flash so I can't read it for the moment, or, fill in the questionnaire. But later.

For now, I do remember some explanation which related De Ja Vous to misfiring neurons or minor caesuras giving rise to senses of memory recall when really no memory recall is happening at all.

Personally I feel that De Ja Vous is related to finding one's self in exactly replicated circumstances as once before. For example actually being someone, sitting in the same position and smelling the same smells as you did once before. That is only because I have never experienced De Ja Vous outside of an environment I am familiar with. However, if I got a pang of DJV in a new and alien environment this theory would soon be shot.

But either way, I will see what a dark philosopher has to say (how ominous) on the issue first.

Regards,
Dan.

Re: de ja view

hi sometime sun

i am of the camp that strongly suspects that deja vu can be the reliving of a previously experienced moment.

My own personal scheme of understanding is this.....

There may have been in the long distant 'past' a 'first time'. Alternatively it may still be going. First time is the frontier of reality in time. Reality changing into and filling a temporal void.

But first time is 'written' or stored in spacetime. History therefore is also real. BUT history is also susceptible to change and thus becomes a rewrite. ie subsequent time. There can be rewrites of rewrites so that first time history no longer exists in some parts of history. Rewrites are like secondary waves. Ripples that flow across the surface of history. There may be many.

A rewrite wave however does not necessarily change the history it flows over. But sometimes it can. When that happens it might be expected that everything from that point will be different to what went before. A rewrite will flow on a never ending change of history. But consider the life of the sun. Even if the history of man is temporally unstable, such that the history of reality is constantly being rewritten because of man, nevertheless the rewrite may not be enough to avoid the natural death cycle of the sun, and all life in the solar system.

Thus from a grander time scale, a rewrite brought about by people 'frequently' behaving differently in a moment to what they had before, will create change that is restricted in spacetime to before the death of the sun.

By analogy, cultural events can have an inertia in time just like the cycle of a star. Thus say in a war we may act differently in a battle, but the battle is still lost. When we find that a rewrite 'comes back' to the previous history it was rewriting and stops rewriting ....... then we experience deja vu. eg "i remember being ordered to bury this body before".

i really would like to read what you wrote, but no matter how i zoom it doesnt get big enough. can it be downloaded to my pc? also, after the one page i see showing with the title you mention is a part called collapsing the consciousness wave-or is that actually the title of the whole thing which deja vu is only the beginning? sounds fasinating...
