This is a thread for jokes that are funny and make think. In case some epic flamewar spawns from this: It was Catchabula's idea. This is the first joke

THINK ABOUT IT.

And post.

#Disclaimer: We dont responsabilize ourselves for the ocurrence of depressingly lame jokes.

#Disclaimer 2: "We" means "Me".

#Disclaimer 3: My grammar sucks.

#Disclaimer 4: You are supposed to think why something this stupid is funny

#Disclaimer 5: The joke is not actually funny. Deadlock!

@manored,
Waw, this Koan brought me to an inch of Satori. No big laugh yet, just a grin. Well, I know a joke and it's called reality. It takes a long time to understand but the laugh in the end is devastating. Any other jokes? Let them roll !

@Catchabula,
"A doctor takes his first rounds at an asylum. He goes up to the first patient he sees and asks, "Who do you think you are?" The patient replied, "I, sir, am Napoleon!" "And how do you know you are Napoleon," asked the doctor. The patient replied, "Because God told me so." Then, from across the room, another patient yelled, "I... DID... NOT!!!"

So much true that the very fact of that reality is a joke is a joke Smile

@manored,
So Descarte walks into a bar. The bar tender asks if he'll have a drink. Descarte replies "I think not" and vanishes.

@xris,
A wanderer is wandering through a randow path then he finds a man sitting in a rock, staring at the horizon.

-What are you doing, you who stares?
-I am waiting for a seventeen headed dragon to show up.
-And, why are you waiting for a creature that doesnt exists?
-Because I need to kill a dragon. A dragon head is the entrance ticket to the city of the gods.
-But if it doesnt exists, why you are waiting for it, instead of hunting the one headed ones?
-Because I am married and have fifteen sons.
-But then, easier will it be to kill seventeen dragons, than for a single seventeen headed one to show up!
-I know, but I cant kill seventeen dragons.
-Well, you can continue in your hopeless waiting, I will kill a dragon myself and enter the city of the gods.

And the wanderer wandered on to kill a dragon, dying in the process. The man remained waiting, and waiting, and waiting. Eventually he had to build a house there and a farm to upkeep he and his family while waiting. He grew old and died, and through the course of many centuries his family grew up in a civilization. In the history of this civilization there was a specially notable moment then the infamous tiranic king was eaten by a seventeen headed dragon the flew out of nowhere, who shortly after died of cardiac insuficiency and fell on top of a orphanate.

I know its more a love story winhout love than a joke, but good for thinking anyway.

@manored,
And then someone comes along and questions the concept of questioning and by the time we are done, we are no more than lumps, unable to accept or process anything. HORRAY PHILOSOPHY!

@Catchabula,
Not really a philosophy joke but still funny:
Quote:
Afrocentrist: And the walls are painted white. And the chalk is white. And even the copy machine paper is white. This, my friend, is a white devil's conspiracy.

Yea, pretty much. How many times have we used what we see to be 'obvious' support for an idea, only to have it thrown back into absurdity? There are two sides to this coin, and it is the lot of philosophers all over to work through it Smile

Thanks
