lord shorty is on a distinguished road
here is what i like

this is hwat happens when africans and indians ge ttogether

i think its quite extraordinary

u have similar vibes in honduras, kenya, suriname and guyana

sugar aloes - roti and talkarie

classic song. sugar alos wants to marry a hindu girl. this is his love song. he loves curry and is even willing to change his religion

rikki jai - sumitra

i dont knowq what this song is about because of the hindi lyirics but the girl likes soca.. sweet . rikki jai does indian soca and chutney ... chutney is like indian music but with a little trini flavor mixed in,,,

faye ann lyons - get one

classic roadmarch winner (i think.. or was it bunji) just a wild great song about carnival and music/vibes

lord shorty - om shanti om - one of the first africa meets india songs. the initial fusion of african and indian beats and instruments and melody systems is what birthed the genre of soca music... very popular and influential and important as this guy "invented" the soca genre with his fusion of aFRICAN AND INDIAN STYLES.. they say lord shorty, a calypso singer "invented" soca.

ITS A A SONG ABOUT AND INDIAN PRAYER THAT MOST INDIANS WILL KNOW. ASK THEM IF YOU Want proof... this song actually has a hell of a message too
