I think this could be me showing my age or revealing a lot about me as a person, but i would quote three Gustav Mahler his symphonies i believe prove the fact the the spiritual is an innate quality of the human condition and not just something that is a product of religious ideology.

Miles Davis because his music speaks of life, is emotive and conveys his inner feelings about how and what he was/is.

Keith Jarrett because he explores the places and silences where language does not go, and i think he is a great pianist.

And beside from that i listen to vast amounts of music in all genres mind you i have had no time for rap since Fear of a Black Planet.
