She is a terrible singer, but most people haven't heard her sing they've heard an audio plug-in called 'Melodyne' which is a frequency and timbre map for vocals or they watch her mime (to a track which uses a Melodyne). But that is just the tip of the ice burg, the actual composition of songs (the hard part that requires real work) is done by a range of writers and composers- I met one in a guitar convention, his name was Eric Roach. He is the one who gathers millions by doing a job he recognizes as 'wrong'. Britney hasn't got a clue, her career starts like most of the plastics- in the Mickey Mouse Club, and goes on from there as they become old enough to be utilized as sexual objects for selling the music of people like Eric Roach. If she was so smart she would realize that she gets peanuts compared to the producer, promoter, writer, publisher etc. Some times as low as 0.3-0.7 pence (not even a penny) per album while the retailer get's £5.00, I think it speaks for itself.
She doesn't realize what she is or what she does, and is on par with the 'it' girls like Paris and Tara; Madonna is the same. Art for arts sake not for money!
